• Easy to setup and very powerful cache plugin.
    Settings tabs are grouped accurately and you can find what you need in a few seconds.
    Works great with Redis.

    Free version has all enough features to get started with. (the most important features are in the free version – which should be appreciated, IMHO)

    Idea & Wish:
    – would be great if to add disk-based object caching in the future. (for those who don’t have Redis/Memcached)
    – wish you will keep simplicity/liteweight approach.
    more features != better product.
    – wish you to continue supporting and improving the plugin so that it will become one of the most popular cache plugins in 1-2 years.

    Hi @elvinhaci,

    Thanks for the review, appreciated.

    This could be a good feature, since it won’t require additional PHP drivers to support However, disk I/O operations are drastically slow when compared with memory. As you have mentioned, perhaps we could work on it in the future.

    – wish you will keep simplicity/liteweight approach.
    more features != better product.

    I agree with this one. In fact, the plugin is lightweight, it loads only the required features/modules. However, the settings could be overwhelming at first glance. Unfortunately, today’s web performance requirements are causing that.

    For that purpose, I wrote Wonder Cache. (Activate & forget)

    When it comes to offering a “Caching and Optimization Suite”, the best we can do:

    • give a control based on modules
    • making things flexible (we have hooks where the plugin behavior needs to get adjusted – https://poweredcache.github.io/docs/)
    • play nice with other plugins (eg. if you want to use Autoptimize for frontend performance, you can do that without giving up the use Powered Cache)
    • – wish you to continue supporting and improving the plugin so that it will become one of the most popular cache plugins in 1-2 years.

      Sure thing! Powered Cache will be around for the foreseeable future.

    Thank you for the response.

    However, disk I/O operations are drastically slow when compared with memory.

    Yes, i am aware of disk i/o vs RAM difference and no doubt that in memory object-cache is much better. But having optional feature for those who don’t have redis/memcached would be better than not having it.

    Sure thing! Powered Cache will be around for the foreseeable future.

    Perfect. I have tested/used almost all top WP cache plugins and currently using at least 5 of them in different websites.
    Unfortunately SEO mis-users don’t let the new cool products to be discovered by users. That’s why sometimes i randomly choose/test plugins which are not in a top-search results and this approach works.

    So it needs very strong patience to continue supporting new products until it gets the needed community.

    Will definitely recommend the plugin to my friends/clients.
