Simple and effective

The PI gives a lot of control over timing and effect of page scrolling behavior with same page anchor links using jQuery. Great time-saver from having to ‘roll your own’ and writing custom Javascript.

The PI also does not provide control over installing section links on the same page using HTML markup. You’ll have to search for that guidance (it’s out there).

I was a bit skeptical whether this PI would work, as active development stopped on it over a year ago (as of this writing). Admin controls are simple and effective. The PI will not provide a jQuery ‘back to the top’ function on your page or post.

If you need that function in tandem, there are many complementary PIs to choose among in the WP.org PI repo. I’m using the ‘jQuery Smooth Scroll’ plugin along with this PI.
