i really don’t need a plugin, i just want to place an adsense leadborard UNDER the header. i’ll admit, pretty simple question…and probably should be really EASY for someone to walk me thru and tell me how to do. keep in mind, i am a writer, not a “computer guru,” like the rest of you guys ??

There are already hundreds of threads dealing with adsense placement. You should be able to find what you need.

Problem is that many of us really don’t have any idea about adsense. And in general, google has pretty much all the info you need…. you might even try a regular google search for your information.

oh great, lol, a FLOOD of good info from you! go here, read this? for something simple? good lord, LOL. sorry, couldn’t resist…but i know somebody has done it and knows how, on here. no fuss, no muss. i can read until i’m blue in the face, believe me. simple solution to a simple question, hon, all i ask. i use ad sense on hundreds of other websites, just want to know how to place the code under the header before the entries. i am sure its not that hard, BUT – i am NOT a computer guru, just new to wp.

ok, hon, no problem, i just wanted SOMEONE who knew. i am sure you’re great in other areas, tho. thank you for trying to help ??

You’ll want to go into “Presentation” “Theme Editor” then open “header.php” and find a nice looking place for your Adsense code and plop it in there… Just to be safe, cut and paste a backup of this page in case you do something naughty. I can’t tell you exactly where to put it because it depends on what theme you are using… But I think anyone here will tell you–it’s a matter of trial and error.
