• Hi,

I am using the free version of Rife. Very happy with the template. I use the “works template” to showcast the books I distribute. The problem I have is that the system recomends at the end in ‘similar works’ always the same 3 books. Can you tell me how he similiar works logic works? Which criteria(s) is/are used to make the recommendation? Can I influence this logic somewhere? Is there a documentation?

Thanks a lot for your help, Olivier

    Hello ??

Logic is to suggest works from the same category as work that you are viewing at the moment.

    With kind regards.

Thanks for getting back to me.
yes this logic makes sense. Let’s assume though that a work belongs to various categories a,b,c,d. Which one does the system recommend a, b, c, d? What is the criteria? alphabetical order? Creation of category? Or something else?
Can I define somewhere which category should be looked for?
    Thanks again, Olivier

    Hey ??

I believe this is either unspecified behaviour or buried somewhere in WordPress logic.

When I face such situation I assign only one category to work. When there is more then 1 I have never noticed any logic behind it and how WordPress queries “decide” what to show.

    With kind regards.
    Air.
