Signup confirmation without signed up for the newsletter

    New WordPress users get an automatic mailpoet signup confirmation even if they have not signed up for the newsletter. In EU its considered as spam (can result in some large fines), and i have no idea how to stop it..

    Also: Hhow do i make the option to sign up for the newsletter at checkout without the field already selected.
