Signin up doesnt work anymore

    hi, customers can’t sign up anymore for the newsletter. They get this error:

    Oops. Er gaat iets mis, probeer het later nog een keertje

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    hi, i’ve checked all the steps and didn’t solve it. In the the log is this:

    — Nothing here. Which means there are no errors!

    Can you set it to “log everything” on MC4WP > Other, then try again. Does that show something in the log or still nothing?

    Can you go to MC4WP > Form > Settings, so you see anything related to “captcha” there? If so, can you turn that off (if it’s already off it won’t show the setting as it has been removed)?

    I can change it to ‘everything’. I did and there’s nothing in the log.

    I’ve also checked the settings and there’s nothing related to captcha.

    That means something else is picking up the form submission before our plugin can. Do you have any anti spam plugin that may be processing form submissions to your site? I do see recaptcha code being loaded on your site but I’m not sure if it’s related.

    I only have reCaptcha Pro by BestWebSoft

    Could you do a test with that plugin deactivated, to see if it is related?

    i just did and the issue is still there

    I have the exact same issue on multiple websites. There may be a mailchimp API update that causes some issue with the plugin.

    Console error is as follow:
    Mailchimp for WordPress: failed to parse AJAX response.
    Error: “SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘e’, “test{“error”… is not valid JSON”

    People are actually subscribed successfully but get an error message on the front end.

    @aponiaweb an API change would throw an error in our log.
    I recommend you create a new topic/post to this forum, so that we can look into your issue separately as it may not be the exact same problem.

    @poesch I checked your log on MC4WP > Other and saw this error:

    Form 3687 > Mailchimp API error: 400 Bad Request. Invalid Resource. Your merge fields were invalid.
    – FNAME : Please enter a value

    It means the field FNAME is set a a required field, but not added to the form. Either set that field to not be required in your Mailchimp audience settings, or add it to the form.
