Signal “SIGXCPU” (CPU time limit exceeded) is sent to script!

  • I’ve been getting this error when running a daily backup job. This happens while trying to create a backup archive.

    The log reads:

    1. Trying to create backup archive….
    Compressing files as TarGz. Please be patient, this may take a moment.
    ERROR: Signal “SIGXCPU” (CPU time limit exceeded) is sent to script!
    2.Trying to create backup archive….
    WARNING: Link “home/[myurl]/public_html/wp-content/db.php” not following

    Then the job goes on until….

    Uploading to Dropbox
    ERROR: Signal “SIGXCPU” (CPU time limit exceeded) is sent to script!
    Backup transferred to [my dropbox acct]
    One file deleted from Dropbox
    One old log deleted
    ERROR: Job has ended with errors in 3617 seconds. You must resolve the errors for correct exectution.

    What’s going on here?
