    Questions:
    1. How do I change the following checkbox text (that I think your plugin adds to my login)? I do want to give new registrants an opportunity to follow my blog.

The text I want to edit is “Sign me up for the blog”

    2. Another problem: When the above checkbox on the registration page is checked, the email address is not added to my Mailchimp list.

Other information that might be relevant:
I added your Mailchimp sign up block (modified) to my blog page sidebar (https://lemonstograpes.com/blog). That works.

I have been working with this on and off for 2 days trying to understand Mailchimp, trying to understand your plugin, etc. Very frustrated right now. If I can’t figure out how to use your plugin, I am going to give up and start trying to figure out how to use WordPress Integration from Mailchimp. Any help would be appreciated.

Which version of MailChimp for WordPress you’re on (the latest)
    WordPress & PHP version (5.8.4, 8.0)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @janecarole,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

    1) You can visit the “MC4WP > Integrations” menu in your WordPress backend, then click on “Registration form” and from here you can modify the subscribe text.
    2) Please check if you have “Double Opt-in” enabled. If it is, then before the email is visible in MailChimp, user needs to confirm their email by clicking on a link inside an email sent to them by MailChimp.

Thank you! I didn’t realize I could open the “active” registration form in Integrations by clicking on it! I made the changes I wanted to make and tested. Everything works now except for this: the Registration Form checkbox still shows the old text “Sign up for blog.” I made sure that my subscribe text change showed up on the Registration Form Integration page on the backend. (I saved it again to be sure.) Still, the Registration Form shows the old subscribe text. Any ideas why the change isn’t being recognized?

One more question: Can I add a tag when someone subscribes from the Registration page?

The text I see is “To receive notice of new blogs”
    Maybe https://www.refreshyourcache.com/ ?

You can add a tag via custom code: https://github.com/ibericode/mc4wp-snippets/blob/master/integrations/wp-registration-form/registration-subscriber-tag.php

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

I had just figured out that it was a cache problem and was getting ready to post my discovery when I saw your latest post. Glad that is solved…

I will look at the custom code link. Thanks again for your speedy and helpful replies!

I am not a programmer and consider it a small miracle that I figured out what to do with the code you pointed me to for adding a new MC tag for new registrants on my site. Not sure it was the best way, but I used Code Snippets (which I have used only once before) to add the code. Happily, it worked.

You can mark my post as resolved.

Yes, that’s how I would add it as well. Good to hear you got it all worked out!
