“sign in to comment”

  • I have the forum set so that non-registered users can see the topics. Currently, at the end of each post, as a non-registered user sees it, the post just ends and there is no way to post a comment (since they’re not logged in or registered), but because there is no link that says “sign in or register to comment,” it just looks like you can’t comment, like that’s just not part of the website.

    Is it possible to put a link at the bottom of each post that says “please register or log in to leave a comment” that links to the log-in page, but where that message would only be shown when not logged in – i.e. the message doesn’t show up after you’re logged in?

    I think this is most likely down to your discussion settings in Settings > Discussion or your theme. Please check that comments are enabled first, then try switching theme to see if there’s an issue there.
