sight theme and pagination problem

i hope someone can help me.
i was working on sight theme from wpshower. everything was looking good until i started adding posts, since it was the least important part of the site – list is going endlessly, although in php file there is a limit no of posts to show on index page. problem remains if i change this number.

i did remove list and grid style loop icons (i was looking through the files to find what did i do, but i couldn’t find it… stupid, i know), maybe i messed code for pagination when i did that…
