Sidebars Not DIsplaying Anywhere

    No sidebar content showing at all. I’ve spent 2 days trying to get this working and am now admitting defeat and calling on wiser minds.

    – In the Customise settings under Widget I note it shows only the footer widgets and says: “Your theme has 2 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them. You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customiser to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.”

    – Under Appearance – Widgets it shows the Left and Right sidebars. I have items under the right one but it is not displaying on any page or post

    – I have set Front Page Content in Customise settings to display layout as full page, no sidebars

    – In Customise settings under Main Content – Pages & Posts Layout I set Front Page no sidebar and Global Layout as Right sidebar (same for Posts and Pages layouts). I have NOT checked Force Default Layout Everywhere

    Any advice would be appreciated so I can get the Right Sidebar displaying and finalise this. Thanks in advance.

    Just checked on my test site.
    It’s working properly.

    I am able to disable sidebars on front page and have left sidebar on posts and pages.

    Please check whether it’s your post meta overriding your setting.
    Edit your post and on the right hand side you will see Layout Options meta box, you need to select defoult layout, so that it follows your cuatomizer setting.

    Please also check that you had assigned widgets to your sidebars.

    Hi Denzel, thanks for your input.

    RHS of post, layout option is marked as ‘default – right sidebar’ so that’s right.
    Widgets are assigned to the right sidebar.

    By the way I’ve tested on Safari, Chrome and Opera browsers without success. I’ve also disabled plugins and tested and still not showing.

    Welcome other ideas.

    Hi again. I can get the left sidebar working but not both or the right.

    Does anyone else have the right sidebar displaying?

    OK, problem solved.

    There was a piece of code in the sidebar-right.php file that shouldn’t have been there. I removed it and all working again.
