Sidebars are displaying on wrong page type

    OK, I’m going to admit, I screwed this up somehow. I had to import a database from an older website and merge it into the existing content on this page. I had a lot of problems while doing this, and had to fix a lot of things. However, now the sidebars are connected to the wrong page-types. For example, the page-sidebar displays on the blog, none of the sidebars display on the single post page even though there is a single-post sidebar, and the footer-sidebar displays properly. Could it be possible for this to have happened during the database mixup, and is there a way to fix it?

    How older?

    In other words, what was the version of the older WP?

    – Please note the database ( DB ) structure often changes between versions. The implication is that, for example, one cannot import a pre 4x database into a 4x install and expect it to work.

    You need to install your original version of WordPress, import your db dump and then start upgrading.

    I should be able to upgrade the old site prior to exporting. My concern is that I’ve put many hours of work into this before I noticed the sidebar issues, so doing a full import would wipe out the changes I’ve made, requiring me to re-do that work. Is there a method around this, or am I just going to have to bite the bullet on this one?

    I just found out this is actually due to an update from the theme manufacture. They messed the sidebars up completely, so it’s not an issue with the database. Thank the Gods!
