• Hi
Using wordpress 3.6 and WooCommerce Version 2.0.13.

I cannot seem to change the sidebars on the pre-set pages, it only gives me the default sidebar everytime; or if possible how can i edit the default sidebar?

I also cannot seem to have anything other than default permalinks on my site, if i change this then links to any of the pre-set pages gives a 404 error?

Please help, aprt from these things my shop is vertually ready to go live =D

Thanks in advanced for any/all help

  • Just wanted to add that I have that sidebar problem, too. I really need to get rid of it on the shop page. I hope someone answers this ??

How are you trying to ‘change the sidebars’? And on which pages?

The shop page is not a page, it is a post type archive. So you will need to query accordingly to remove that.

You might be interested in using the WooSidebars plugin to have greater control over the sidebars on your site.

As it turns out the reason my sidebar was appearing on my Shop page (I assume that’s what you mean by pre-set pages) was because of an incompatibility between the theme I’m using (Responsive Pro from CyberChimps) and WooCommerce.

It seems that it’s also not an uncommon problem. For a fix, see this page:

    Hope this helps.
