Sidebar two widget not working!!!

Hi
I’m new to this .. I’m working on a web site for my parents .. I want to setup sidebar2 widgets with subpages of the existing site contacts (that is specific page) .. I want sidebar2 widget on the left side .. (2 colummns) on the left and then they may sidebar2 right page .. but it is not possible .. I only see it when I put SUBPAGEMENU in a sidebar widget that is always displayed on the right side ..
Maybe is not activeted sidebar2? I dont know ..
Help me please …
