Hi, I am having a reoccurring issue on my website Adult Education, where my sidebar seems to take over half of the width of the page.

Inspecting the page brings up the following warning:

    `Fixed Widget: Detected nested widget in <aside id=?”block-10″ class=?”widget widget_block FixedWidget__fixed_widget” style=?”box-sizing:? border-box;? position:? sticky;? transition:? transform 0s ease 0s;? top:? 132px;? transform:? translateY(0px)?;?”>?<div class=?”wp-container-27 is-content-justification-left wp-block-buttons” style=?”position:? relative;? min-height:? 100%;?”>?…?</div>? flex </aside>?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hey Michael,

    thanks for reaching out!

We checked your site. There are a lot of nested elements. Too many for Fixed Widget to handle in the way you might expect.

You could try to set div.sidebar-main in the Custom Elements option to fix the whole sidebar and remove the settings for individual widgets. Please let me know how this works out.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Thanks for the response Thomas. I tried using the Custom Elements option but it didn’t give the desired appearance. I have instead reduced the number of elements (both fixed and non-fixed) within the sidebar – which hopefully will prevent this from occurring in the future.

    Thanks!

    Michael
