I’ve re-installed sidebar and looked through everything andn can’t seem to troubleshoot this.

When you open my blog, until I added sitemeter, the sidebar would start on the right side top.

Now it is nowhere to be seen until after all of my posts, and at that it is much narrower than it used to be.

Can anybody see what the problem is that I need to fix?

    thanks in advance.

What was the last edit and or plugin you added? I had the same issue awhile back and was due to a change I made in my stylesheet for the sidebar. Try using the Firefox Edit CSS plugin. https://chrispederick.com/work/webdeveloper/

i pasted the code for sitemeter into the sidebar. i’ve tried everything , even ftp’ing stuff, etc.

i will try the .css stylesheet and see if its there.

I remain entirely at a loss. PLEASE HELP somebody!

I think the problem may be that I originally tried to edit the sidebar.php in the Dashboard – which never works for me because I can never save it.

Then I went ahead and did the edit via FTP.

Even when I restore theh original sidebar it remains messed up.

I got a beer for anyone with a solution!

It’s because of the sitemeter code. But it’s always good to search – for “sidebar below” there are more than 1,200 hits.

right, I figured that – but NOW what do I do… I have taken the sitemeter code out of it and still, can’t straighten thigns out.

Put it in the footer or live without it.

That’s the problem, however – I HAVE removed it. There is no trace of a counter anywhere, yet I still have the messed up sidebar…

You have a backup of all your WP files, don’t you?

I would kind of have to rebuild everything. I don’t understand why it can’t be fixed easier.

There must be some glitch in the code that I just can’t find, no?

I appreciate your help, by the way

So this was over a year ago, and it’s marked as resolved, but I don’t see a resolution posted. I’m now having the same problem. I have no idea how it happened–it doesn’t seem to be css related (I swapped another theme in and the same thing happens). Where do I look to solve this?

    Thanks in advance!
