• I have two fairly similar blogs running Comet 1.2.5 by Frostpress. Their sidebars are very similar as well. But one of them has started putting the sidebar at the bottom of the page, the other is fine. On the one that is causing a problem the sidebar goes back to its rightful place if you go to the individual post page and the ‘About’ page is functioning fine. I don’t think I’ve done anything different to the blog recently.
The ‘bad’ sidebar is at https://www.oneforthecrow.com/painting
The ‘good’ sidebar is at https://www.oneforthecrow.com/studio

  • That would likely be bad html in the page content posted from Word?, start with editing the content, copy and paste into notepad, then do the same back that will remove any word issues, and re-style the content in the WordPress editor.

If it is still broke then it could be a plugin that is the problem!

To try validation just enter the page URL link Here: that will show you any errors but not how to fix them.

11 Errors not that bad I have seen some with 80+

This is HTML post-374 is missing the opening <p> tag is one!

I have just installed the latest version of WordPress and the latest version of Comet and the problem seems to have resolved itself. Beats me why the problem was only on the one blog though.

Thanks for your advice re errors, I will check. It would never have been a Word paste problem as I was advised early on not to use it and I always use ‘Textedit’ or similar when I work on HTML.
