• Perhaps someone knows the reason for this, whether it’s with the css or in the kubrick template, but for some reason, my sidebar has started not showing up (or showing up after the posts) unless you mouseover the title of the page – and then it seems to show in the right spot.

This doesn’t always happen, it just happens whenever it feels like it. But does anyone have any idea what’s causing it? It didn’t used to do that.

I’d like to fix it if you’ve got some ideas for me.

    Thanks.

Still wondering here. Although I have noticed that it doesn’t seem to be happening in Firefox, only in Avant.

Is it possible that this question is unanswerable? Possibly no one knows why sometimes my sidebar appears to the right but below my post section and when you mouseover my title it suddenly appears where it’s supposed to?

Is this a really hard question? I figured someone would have some thoughts… someone must be a css or wordpress guru that would have an inkling.

I don’t understand why, in 22 days, nobody has even said boo.

It definitely seems like a float issue. Has it been like that for a long time or is there something you may have changed in the layout that might cause this? It happens on IE too, but you know how IE is when it comes to floating divs… Hit me with an email if you want to puzzle over this (and/or other matters) off forum ??

Thanks, Minna, for an answer ?? I did change something in the stylesheet quite some time ago (perhaps that’s when the problem started occurring), but it was so long ago I can’t remember WTF it was.

It might have been something on ‘a:hover’ or ‘a:active’ so I’ll go and have a look at that when I have a minute, or perhaps go back to a previous stylesheet if I can find one before changes.

I know you know all this stuff. I should have just posted on your site (like you’re the help desk or something) ??

It’s such a shame (sort of…) that the problem only occurs in IE (I don’t have Avant). If it was on FF too, I could edit the CSS to test out different approaches. I wonder if it works if I make a local copy of your stylesheet and then set IE to use it for all pages… Hmmm…

Well I thought it was all fixed up, I reverted to a previous stylesheet and kept refreshing and didn’t see the problem. Until another refresh and *voila* there it was again.

I suppose I should be starting with the absolute basic stylesheet that came with, but it’s a helluva lot of work to do for right now to get it looking the way I want it to, so I’ll save that for a day when I feel like there’s lots of time.

Just changed the padding in the post titles and haven’t seen it occur again since. hmmmm
