• I don’t know what have I done, the sidebar in my homepage (https://www.AngeloSayson.com) suddenly went below the page instead on the side. I tried validating my site to look for errors and got 70. I wanted to fix it but I don’t know where in my files could I find the lines and columns the validator is talking about. Can somebody help me with this matter? Just tell me where could I find those lines and columns and I’ll probably do the rest if I can.

  • 1. For the sidebar down “syndrome” there are hundreds of posts – it is always caused by an element being wider than the allocated width, either in your content or in the sidebar.
    2. Re: validation – on the validation site check the Show Source box and Revalidate. Every error line # will become a clickable link taking you exactly to the location of the error in your source code.

Thanks for the post. I went on the validation site to check where are the errors coming from but the site is not telling exactly in what __.php in my files (Ie. index.php; wp-config.php) could that errors be found. Is there any way I can know this?

Please do a search herein for “sidebar dropping” – and follow suggestions in the hundreds of posts to fix the problem.

    ok. i’ll try. thanks.

Yes. Don’t worry about the wp-config and other “core” files.
The errors always come from two sources:
    a) your posts
    b) the template files in your theme

In the majority of the themes, imagine a huge “index” file being sliced up in several pieces and that put together again by the WP engine. If you are a “visual” type, see it here.
