• I am using a modified (child theme) version of Twenty Ten 1.0. I have set my “blog” page to the One Column, No SIdebar template, but somehow the Default Template is still over-riding this change. The One Column template seems to work (no more sidebar) on my about page, but I still cannot figure out why I am having issues. Any help?

The website, which I am working on for my wife: <chocolate & carrots

I noticed your post from about six months ago regarding the fact that the default theme was overriding your selection of a One Column template for your blog page. I am having the same problem. Did you solve this problem? Can you help?

    Thank You

Well, the problem is that when I switch back to the default theme (twenty ten), the same problem persists. I do not have the correct fix, but what I have done is comment out the sidebar in all of the relevant .php files.

There is a function to call the sidebar, eg, get_sidebar() or something like that.

The site works, but it’s not as clean (code-wise) as I’d like and I want to understand what is going on.
