• Greetings all,

Using Dark Maple for one of our blogs here at school:

    https://www.ncs-nj.org/blogs/kpolak46/

Sidebar is squished to the bottom of the page. I’ve done this on blogs before by posting enrty content that was too long, like a long link, but I can’t see what posting might have caused this. Am I on the right track? What makes the sidebar move to the bottom in this way?

    TIA,

    -kj-

  • I just started my blog this week and this just happened yesterday to me. The sidebar shifted down to the bottom and the fonts for the sidebar and footer are much larger. No matter which theme I choose, it is still supersized font. I reinstalled the theme I was using and that didn’t help. I’m not sure where to check the code to see what happened to the font here.

    My blog is at https://lddbaby.com/blog/

Lucky Dog – your site works fine in Firefox but not IE. If anyone can help, I have the same problems as Lucky Dog and have tried the same things, but the problem is in both IE and Firefox.

I have fixed my coding – yippee! For the longer posts I had started drafting in MS Word and then copied over to WP. Once I removed the font tags that it added in HTML, I was good to go.

    Thanks for everyone’s help.

    I fixed this problem by:
    1. changing the status of the most recent post to Draft to determine if that post was the cause. It was.
    2. since this post was just a photo, I tried reducing its width. This did the trick.

Now I need to look at the structure of the page layout, and the css to see if it can be made more robust.. ie. rogue post proof. The sidebar should not be influenced by the main content.
