Sidebar on posts, featured image on posts – both unwanted

    1). There is a sidebar on my post pages and it has widgets in it that are not activated – Search and Archives. Is that a theme default?

    2). I do not want the featured image on the post pages. Can I get rid of it with CSS? (hide it, as mentioned in another thread?)
    It is redundant and looks very poor:
    -I use large images and sometimes only one in a post.
    -My first image is usually the featured image.
    -The featured image is full-sized and not aligned – it almost touches the first image and is off-center. It looks totally crooked. (but I don’t want it all – moot) see:

    Hi Toni,
    yes it is a theme default if you don’t have any widgets in the sidebar.
    You must don’t add featured image if you don’t want display it. Display featured image only in posts or only in index pages is a premium feature.

    Ah I see! Images: The last theme I had – for years – required a featured image to get it displayed on the home page, with excerpts. Sadly, There is nothing premium about my site. ??

    I got rid of the sidebar with simple CSS.

    I fixed what I needed. If my site was worth a penny and I stuck long-term with themes, I would pay for the upgrade anyway.

    Lovely theme, I will review it as well.
