Sidebar on category page

    Hello,

    After creating a sidebar with the conditions set as “Categories – News”, I am not seeing the sidebar appear on the page.

    How do I add specific blog posts to the sidebar and publish it on the News category page of the site?

    Note: the News page currently has a Recent Posts sidebar. We would like to replace this with a more visual, customized sidebar using your plugin.

    Hello again,

    I have tried to create a sidebar again for the News page (linked above) and haven’t been able to figure out how to display the articles I would like to show.

    Does your widget allow you to list specific articles in the sidebar, displaying the article image and headline together? Similar to the ‘Popular Posts’ section on this page: https://www.theoutdooradventureblog.com/ukadventures/is-forest-therapy-just-for-tree-huggers/

    If your widget does not allow you to display an article image and headline, do you have to download another widget to use in conjunction with Content Aware?

    Any tips or suggestions you may have are greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

    Content Aware Sidebars makes it possible to create new sidebars and display them on different conditions, e.g. only on the News page.

    It does not include any widgets by itself, but it supports all WordPress widgets, meaning that you can add widgets from other plugins to the custom sidebars.

    Hi Joachim,

    I understand now. The Content Aware Sidebars only allows you to determine which page, category, etc. to display the posts on.

    As we are looking to display a hand-picked selection of posts on different pages (not popular posts), do you know of any WordPress widgets that let you do this? i.e. select unique posts and customise their appearance (thumbnail and headline).
