Sidebar not showing on homepage

I installed the Blocksy theme today and am really happy with the look.
The only thing that bugs me is that I can’t figure out how to get the sidebar on my homepage, which displays my latest posts.

Is it not possible to show the sidebar on the homepage?
If so, is there a workaround for it?
