Sidebar not showing

  • I wonder if anyone can help, I have a website at https://www.thefullagenda.com and wanted to remove the sidebar from my theme so I went through and deleted all of the code that related to the sidebar from – sidebar.php, CSS, function.php, single post and page template, but logged what I took out so that if I ever wanted to put it back in I could. Now of course, I do need a sidebar but adding the code back in hasn’t made it appear again and I’m not sure what to do. I did also change the width of the single post pages to make up for the lacking sidebar so I’m not sure if this has affected.

    I don’t have a good knowledge of HTML or CSS but if anyone could help I would really, really appreciate it.

    – do you have good backup of your theme from prior to you first removed the code related to the sidebar? If you do, upload that.

    – If you don’t, then get fresh copy of your theme and upload that.

    – Also, to preserve your customizations, consider creating a Child Theme.
