I use the 2012 theme, and have neither added or subtracted any plug-ins or any other changes since the 4.1.1 was installed.

My home page Main sidebar (right hand side of page) does not start until near the end of my first post. Page layout is wonky. THe widgets do, however, show up in the correct position on other pages, both those found by clicking on “older posts” and on the additional pages like “about.”

Here is what the correct layout looks like on another page:

And here is the home page: https://ancestorsinaprons.com

I have reinstalled 4.1.1 and cleared the cache on the home page.

I am not a coder, so please speak English if possible. If the solution is complex, I’ll have to hire someone.

    Thanks.

  • you maight have noticed that the same happens if you view the latest post as a single post; https://ancestorsinaprons.com/2015/03/52-ancestors-9-joseph-kaser/

there is possibly something wrong in the content of that post, maybe from partially deleting some parts, or from some copy/paste.

the section ‘notes on research’ seems to contain html code which dupicates some html structure of the theme – how did you add that section?

You nailed it! Thanks! I had cut and pasted from a prior use of that section in another post, and unknowingly got extra code. Saw it when I went into “text view” and removed it. All is fine now. Really appreciate your help!!
