    Hi there!
I can`t do the update – because the sidebar otherwise is gone.

(nothing is like it used to be since the last updates…. I had to make adjustments on many pages to fix the worst of it)
    Best regards

  • Hi @zauberfloete,

    Thank you for contacting us.

I guess your sidebar isn’t missing. But, perhaps you are getting block-based widgets on Appearance > Widgets screen due to WordPress core update.

If you feel this new sidebar editing screen doesn’t work as your need, try enabling classic sidebar by enabling the Classic Widgets plugin.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick reply.I have done that now – but the sidebar is still not displayed

    Hi @zauberfloete,

As checked further, I noticed that you’re using a child theme. Perhpas it requires some adjustments on its code level for main theme code update.

    • Did you attempt to override some main theme’s files via your child theme?
    • Can you share your child theme for inspection?

You’re right, it was my child theme
I removed the archive.php and now it’s ok
Thanks for the great support! You are very fast!

    Hi @zauberfloete,

    Thank you for getting back.

Did you do code changes directly to theme’s files? If so, can you share them, so I can do direct inspection?

    No i had a child from archiv.php.
    This was not necessary
Without this, so with the original file it works ..
    thank you
