Sidebar Menu Wont Show up on Parent Page

I am trying to add a sidebar menu to my site’s main ‘about’ page, but even when I specify in the widget area that the menu should appear on 30words.v2.ah.exygy.com/about/ it does not appear (it DOES appear correctly on the subpages – i.e the pages that appear in the dropdown list below ‘about’ on the NAV bar.

Any tips re: a hack/where I can ‘hard code’ this to make it appear in the parent page as it does on the child or subpages?
