Sidebar linked to pages

Hi there, i am using the polylang plugin to translate pages into multiple languages. The default language is English. Right now I am working on Arabic. I have created an English sidebar widget and an Arabic sidebar widget. For the English page I have the english sidebar selected and for the Arabic page I have the Arabic sidebar selected.
Here is the issue. I worked on the Arabic translated page last, set the Arabic sidebar and then viewed the page. The sidebar is in Arabic on the right side. I used the language selector to view the English Page. Everything is in English, except for the sidebar. On the English page the sidebar is on the right in Arabic. I edited the page, selected the left hand side and English sidebar widget. I viewed the English page and sidebar is on the left, in English. I switched languages to view the Arabic page and the sidebar is on the left in English.
It seems as though these linked pages are saving the last setting for the sidebar widget and applying it to both pages. Everything else works fine, just this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
