• I’m trying to add a link to my sidebar without it coding up with Java – is there a widget that does this or does anyone know where i go into the coding to change this. I’m using Graphene theme

Currently it is showing as javascript:_gaq.push([‘_trackEvent’,’outbound-widget’,’https://www.sammydress.com’ using just the text widget .

    Any help is appreciated

Please provide a link to your site.
What is the link you are trying to add?
What are you entering into the text widget?

Where is the code you listed above coming from? It looks like it might be something to do with Google Analytics

    Hi,

    My site is :

    https://mummyvswork.co.uk

the link is the one bottom right side bar – in the text widget it says:

    buy <a href="https://www.sammydress.com/Wholesale-Toys-b-142.html">kids toy</a> at cheap price from sammydress.com

The code above is being given to me by the adverstiser and they are requesting taking of the java part but I have no idea how as I dont see that.

    Thanks

Are you using yoast’s google analytics for WordPress plugin or an alternative plugin which can track outbound links?

If you are not sure which plugin might be adding the extra code, deactivate your plugins one-by-one and check view-source in the browser until the extraneous code no longer appears.

Once you have identified which plugin has added it, you can post in the forum for that plugin.

It’s the Yoast Google Analytics plugin that seems to be adding the extra JavaScript. If you view the source of your web page, you’ll see a script at the top, in the header, that has a call to the _gaq.push function, with a comment that appears to be connected with that plugin.

By the way, something seems to be disabling the right-click on your site; it makes it very hard to diagnose any problems.
