Sidebar in shop page (woocommerce)

I’m a newbie in WordPress and for our very small company I want to open a simple outlet of obsolete articles. So, we began to use woocommerce with this marvellous Theme.

I would like to know if there is a chance of adding a sidebar to the shop page or what it can be the best approach to show the different categories for going through the whole shop.
