• I logged into my site today and found that a lot of my plugin options what were on the left hand sidebar are no longer there. It was working fine last night. What should I do? Or should I just wait it out?

On second glace it looks like the plugins were deactivated so I fixed them and went out and then back in, and it’s all deactivated again. Is this a known glitch?

Do you mean that many menu items have disappeared from the menu on the left? Have a look under Plugins to see if all of them are still activated. Also check whether you are still logged in with the same account. If you are only an editor, you won’t be able to see everything.

@threadi the plugins were all deactivated. I don’t know how but they are. So I reactivated them. I closed the window and went back in and everything was completely deactivated again.

If you have activated them and then reload the page, are they still activated?

Also have a look under Tools > Site Health to see if any anomalies are mentioned there.

@threadi If I refresh the page it says active, but if close out the site and reopen the window, it goes back to deactivated. Site Health says all is good.

Which plugins are you activating? Maybe one of them is to blame. You may be able to find the culprit by omitting suspected plugins. I’m thinking, for example, of security plugins or plugins that help with the administration of WordPress. Other, possibly faulty, plugins could also be to blame.

And just to be sure: is your WordPress installed with a hoster and not in a test environment somewhere?

@threadi there’s a whole handful or more that need to be activated. It deactivated all but 3 of them. Everything was working last night and I didn’t change anything. It’s hosted through Hostinger.
