Sidebar has just disappeared

  • The sidebar on my blog has just disappeared and in it’s place is a smiley face (which makes me think someone may have hacked into my site). I added one plugin today (Better Internal Link Search) but deactivated it in case that was the issue. It was not. I have been using Theme 2010 for two years now and had no issues. What could be causing this? When I go to Appearance/Widgets, I don’t see the sidebar there at all. Help please!

  • Your site is not hacked.

    The smiley face is WP stats packed with Jetpack, and the stat was put inside the sidebar which means there is something wrong with the plugin, it’s not supposed to be there.

    So it’s best to check with the Jetpack’s support forum.
