    Hello Joachim,

I am using your plugin with my site and am very happy with it. However recently I had a new need to add a special sidebar for buddypress group(s).
I found out it is not supported, as you also mention in another thread.

Is my only option to get the groups and links supported – if I translate the plugin?

    Thank you.

BuddyPress groups are not supported out of the box, no, but they are supported in the Premium Bundle which is still in BETA. It is not necessary to contribute with translations to become a beta tester, but it is highly appreciated!

You can send an email to [email protected] for more information.

    Hi Joachim,

    thanks for your quick reply.

I do need this functionality, so if I can beta test for you, I will be happy to. I can translate the plugin , but if I can do it simultaneously with testing the beta it will be great because my site is close to launching.

I encountered another issue today and wanted to ask for your support. I have made a custom sidebar for a certain post type of mine. This one needs to be constant for this post type. But I need to add a different widget to each of these posts, so I made a menu for that and chose the “merge” “at the top” option. It didn’t work. Is there something I am missing?

    Thank you.

I am sending this as an email too.

    That sounds great.

As for the problem, what sidebar did you choose as host for the second sidebar?

    Hi Joachim,

    Thank you:)

It is a custom sidebar for my learndash courses (made with your plugin) It has some special learndash widgets.

I need these to appear on every course and one (a simple text widget I added to the second sidebar) to be unique per course.

    Hi Joachim,

I am also having trouble finding the conditions I used to create the LD sidebar in the first place. I swear the LD post types- courses, lessons , topics etc showed up in the list of the Condition Groups, and now they don’t! So I can’t use the LD menu anymore (it needs to replace the sidebar only on these specific pages)- and that was the whole reason for me installing the plugin.
I have no idea what happened, the only thing I can think of is updating to the latest version of the sidebars a few days ago.

p.s. the merge function did work for me with the buddypress groups now.

I tested some more, and it’s not the latest update, it’s a sort of a conflict with the premium bundle. When I temporarily turn that plugin off, the courses and the rest of LD post types in Condition Groups come back.

I am saying a sort of a conflict, because somehow the site remembers and displays the sidebars even though the conditions inside the sidebars disappear if the bundle is on or off.

So if the bundle if off- I will see the LD post types in the Condition Groups, and if it on I will see the buddypress groups (but not both at the same time).

p.s. the merge works for the LD menu too now.

For your first problem, try these settings:

Sidebar A: Replace Main/Primary sidebar on All Courses.
Sidebar B: Merge with Sidebar A on the one specific course.

    Will this work?

And thank you for the feedback on the issue with the primary bundle, I will look into that.
