• I am currently using the 3 column wpandreas09 theme with no problems. The trouble is, if I change to any of the other themes I’ve installed, even default, my sidebar suddenly disappears below my posts. I am viewing it in Firefox. Hopefully someone can give me some idea why this is happening. It’s driving me nuts. I like the theme I’m using, but there are so many new ones that I want to try, and I’m not keen on a one column theme. Thanks very much.

  • Can you change to another theme which this happens on?
As it is we can’t see the problem.

In the meantime, a guess. The photo in the protected entry is too big?

Hi Podz. I tried removing the photo but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference. I’ve tried a few other themes and the sidebar is still dropped. I’ve even tried deleting the wpandreas09 theme to see if that helped, but no go. Please help!

I’ve even tried disabling widgets and all the plugins except Akismet, but I still can’t get the sidebar to where it should be.

I don’t know what I did but it seems to be ok now. Thanks.

This is the same problem I am having. but nothing I do is effecting it. I don’t have any plugins active.

kldtech, it may be a problem in the CSS. Is your theme home-made, or did you download it? Also, a link would help.

When my sidebar has dropped in the past it’s been because I had it one of the dimensions (for the sidebar or main column) set too wide in the CSS.

My apologies, jon, the theme is downloaded, Kickass spooky blue. this is a link to see what’s happening https://mjallaire.netfirms.com/nfblog/
    thank you

It looks like the problem is in the main div. Try assigning a fixed width to it, maybe around 450 pixels.

    Thanks I’ll try that!

Another important casue of Sidebar drops under post is un-closed “tags or codes” within the Posts.

I just checked that too… all closed. UGH!

    kldtech,

Just check your few previous Posts by running seperately i.e. goto dashboard /manage/post and right click View to open Posts in New Tab and see which Post is making the Sidebar drop.

Once you find the Post, either delete or correct the Post and things will work normally.

hmmm there’s only the one post… Let me try something and see what happens

I don’t know what the problem is. I deleted the post. retyped the whole thing in and it still pushes the sidebar down.
