Sidebar does not update on home page

  • For awhile now when i make changes to my widgets, it will not update on the sidebar. the widget will save the information, but it will not show up on the sidebar with the changes.

    the only way around this, is to go to any post, update that post, and it will update the widget in the sidebar with the new information.

    I want to find how to go back to when we save the changes in the widget, it automatically updates on the sidebar

  • This sounds like it could be due to caching. If you are using a caching plugin, it should give you a way to ‘clear the cache’.

    Also try clearing your browser cache.

    I have Super Cache, and their is a delete cache on the toolbar, which i use a lot. So it can’t be that.

    Also two of us update the widgets, so i doubt if its the browser cache, since it happens all the time for both of us.

    Very frustrating.

    I still wouldn’t totally rule out the cache. Disable the cache and try an update. That should rule out the cache entirely.
