• Hello,

after I have updated my wordpress installation to 4.7.2, there occured some problems with the sidebar. It disappeared on pages which I have edited after the update.

    Theme: twentyeleven
    WP versions: 4.7.2

I checked already the settings for the sidebar. Sidebar template is activated for all pages and posts. Moreover I deleted the cache and updated the new version again. After that I downgraded at first to the version 4.7.1 then to 4.7 but nothing changed.

I haven′t found this problem in google search or this forum or others.

The sidebar for those pages I have edited after the core update still disappear (e.g. https://www.ecofibre.de/unternehmen/ or https://www.ecofibre.de/einblasdaemung/). Those pages which I haven′t edited after the update still have a sidebar (e.g. https://www.ecofibre.de/kerndaemmung/ or https://www.ecofibre.de/brandschutz/).

Can anybody give me a hint?

    Thank′s for your efforts.

    Hello,
downgrading to version 4.7.1 and to 4.7 didn′t help. So I upgraded again to 4.7.2

But it still remains the same. There is no sidebar displayed on those pages I have edited after the update to 4.7.2

Another thing is strange. I tried to look if it′s possible to activate the sidebar with live preview by clicking on the dashboard on

    Design -> Customizer -> Widgets -> Sidebar

But when I open a page that I have edited after the update, the sidebar option disappears from the dashboard. But only on those pages I have edited after the update.

What′s going on here? Has anyone a clue?

Hello. I think it’s your theme. Try one or two different theme to see if something disapear again. Your theme could not support the new version for the moment so it’s creating some bug.

But downgrading the WP version didn′t help to solve this problem!

I will check the theme or test another theme.

If it is a theme problem, shouldn′t it be possible to solve it by downgrading to the 4.6.3 version?

    I can′t solve it.
