Sidebar disappeared on single post after update 2.0.8

  • Why did you remove the sidebar on single posts with update 2.0.8? It changed to full width.
    Also the site width seems to be reset to the default values.

    This way it takes a lot of extra time with each update to check what has changed and to try to fix it.

    I’ve compared the two versions just yet. It looks like the width settings were reset to default because of the prefix renaming in core\functions\theme-style.php. And I guess the sidebar disappeared by a similar change in core\main.php.

    on core\functions\theme-style.php file there is a function to generate the custom css code, on main.php i changed a part of template function but for the homepage, not for the posts

    Regarding the lines for screen width: I’m still seeing wip_screen2 and wip_screen3 in my options table with the old settings. Renaming the prefix made it reset to default.

    PS: I don’t think it’s really related, but I’m also using the Polar Lite child theme.

    I installed Polar Lite but i don’t have this issue, i can set a left or right sidebar

    i set the right sidebar for each post.

    With the previous version, when you’ve edited your posts , with the full width value as default, you’ve changed the layout of articles.

    I tried to create a new post and now, the right sidebar is the default value

    I see it’s working now, but I hope you also found the cause of this behavior, so you can keep it in mind for coming changes…
