Sidebar Deletion Suggestion

I’d like to suggest that you consider making the act of deleting a sidebar more explicit. The way it is kind of confusing, and not at all obvious, making it counter-intuiotive and hard to try to explain to people.

It’s be nice if sidebars didn’t disintegrate into “Inactive Sidebar” areas when they are detached from all pages. It’d be better if they just remained as is and unattached.

An explicit “Delete Sidebar” button on the edit sidebar screen would be clearer for people to understand.

This would also remove the work involved in having to reconstitute a sidebar you didn’t mean to delete when it’s been detached from all Pages, perhaps with the intention of attaching it to another page.

Finally, you might want to consider adding a simple Simple Sidebars section to Appearance where you can Add, Edit and Delete sidebars.
