Sidebar Category Post DropDown

I have searched and downloaded and installed and cannot come up with an answer to this.

I have a website with the categories displayed in a side bar. What I would LOVE to have is a fly out dropdown menu that displays the posts in each category when you hover over it.

Say I had a category called ‘events’ and there were 6 entries in it then when you hovered over the ‘events’ category a drop down would appear where you could see and select individual posts.

I suck at php but my css, javascript and html are ok so if someone could point me in the right direction I would seriously appreciate it.
