Sidebar and widgets on front page
-
I am attempting to add a side bar and the customary two widgets to the static front page of a twenty twelve child theme.
I followed the advice here. I saved this code as front-page.php and uploaded it to my child theme. It does not behave as I had anticipated. The sidebar widgets do appear but at the bottom of the page, not on the side.
Here is the front page of my site: https://gsewebwp.gse.buffalo.edu/org/clari/
<?php /** * Template Name: Front Page Template * * Description: A page template that provides a key component of WordPress as a CMS * by meeting the need for a carefully crafted introductory page.
