side widgets on static front page

  • is there a way to make my banners and widgets show up on the sides in the large white area of my front page on the discover theme? i dont have anything built yet to fill in the widgets. but i would like to fill the empty white space with banners, and advertisements.

    anyone able to help me with this?

  • In you Dashboard click on Widgets (under Appearance) and left you can choose between a lot of options to add. Choose Text (low in the list) and add your own text and/or HTML

    Then put it in Sidebar Primary Widget Area.
