    Hi,

After automatic update to Easy Custom Sidebars version 2.0.0 the sidebars have disappeared from my site. How do I get them to show on my page again (the content is still preserved in the widgets backend)?

    Thank you! ??

    Kind Regards,

    Cecilia Nedg?rd

    Hi @unisoulmusic,
That’s strange, the plugin was designed to be backwards compatible. Are you able to create any sidebars in the new verison?

    Hi Sunny,

I have created a new sidebar in Easy Custom Sidebars version 2.0.1 now and it still doesn’t show on my webpage. I have tried to install other sidbar plugins and they show, but I like yours better so I hope you can solve the problem.

    Hello again,

I have installed my webside backup from November 19th (before the plugin was updated) and my website looks good again. I have now Version 1.0.10 of your plugin and have turned off automatic updates. Please let me know when the bug is fixed so I can update the plugin.

    Thank you!

    Hello Cecilia

I believe the problem maybe that the plugin was auto updated and you didn’t see the caution notice that the plugin showed before updating to the latest version, Easy Custom Sidebars version 2.0.0

The caution notice stated that the Easy Custom Sidebars version 2.0.0 is not compatible with your current PHP version.

If you are running on PHP version 5.6 for example, the Easy Custom Sidebars version 2.0.0 plugin will not work.

If you update your PHP version to 7.4 the plugin works perfectly with an enhanced interface which makes it much easier to use.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the response @fitz100, couldn’t have said it better myself! I am closing this issue as it has been answered. If you could leave a review for the plugin that would be much appreciated. Cheers

    Hi Ray and Sunny,

I had PHP 7.3 before and I have now updated to PHP 7.4. Unfortunatelly it doesn’t help, it still doesn’t work. I have gone back to the old version again as it works. So, there is something else that is wrong with the new version. Please let me know when you find out what it is cause I would love to update and leave a review :).

    Thanks!
    Cecilia
