Be careful this plugin will upload a virus or ransomware behind your back if needed.

Imagine installing a decent plugin, and then years later only to have something completely different with a completely different use behind your back after updating the plugin to the latest version. Horrible tactic.

All it said was to update “WP USER AVATAR” to the latest version and then what do we get? We get “PROFILE PRESS” After the update???? That’s not what I wanted nor asked for. I already have a premium profile plugin. Why the heck would I download another one?

I only needed this plugin to change avatars that’s it, and that’s what it said it would do, and it did so pretty well for a few years until the latest update where it pulled a switcharoo, and became a different breed.

If it’s capable of doing this imagine all the viruses, and ransomware this thing can “secretly” update as a plugin behind your back into your website. Sick.

I would give this terrible update less than 1 star if I could only because they changed the plugin behind our backs. I have absolutely no respect or trust for this garbage.

The Sad thing is this “Profile Press” could actually be a really good plugin, but I will never know that because this company has lost my trust by using an underhanded disrespectful tactic to force all it’s current users to upgrade to their latest plugin idea. An idea that we did not consent to or ask for.

Also please ban these developers they are using fake reviews to even out all of our angry 1 star outrage that is completely justified considering the slap they gave us all with this secret terrible update. Remove this garbage plugin filled with ransomware, bloatware, or whatever other virus from all of wordpress.

I am very angry, and disappointed.
