Shuffle Viewable Posts Randomly

Just bumping up the thread. Would someone mind helping. I’ve looked through every bit of information on here and can’t find a good set of instructions in regards to where to put the ‘rand’ statement.

Put this before your Loop.
query_posts($query_string.'&orderby=rand');

Which file is the loop in that loads up the posts when you select a category? I looked for it and I could pinpoint it.

query_posts($query_string.’&orderby=rand’);
