Hi. Just working on my first woocommerce site.

I created a cart page and I used Elementor to add Cart Page widget. All I get is ‘Your Cart Is Currently Empty’. It shows the full cart on my live site but I have nothing on my edit area to modify. Sounds like a conflict issue in wp_admin???

I have had no problem with other pages.

    Cheers

  • Hey there, @wooinoz! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

I created a cart page and I used Elementor to add Cart Page widget. All I get is ‘Your Cart Is Currently Empty’.

To confirm, you are seeing this on the page editor, correct?

If you deactivate Elementor and add either the Checkout Block or Checkout Shortcode, do you still see ‘Your Cart Is Currently Empty’.?

If you do, please let us know so we can assist you further.

If you don’t, please contact Elementor support here so they can assist you further with this ??

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Thanks for the reply

Yes in the editor. With Elementor deactivated and with shortcode woocommerce_cart added it still shows Your cart is currently empty.

One solution is for me to delete woocommerce and start again.

    Cheers

    Hello @wooinoz,

Thanks for updating us on this. Have you already tried reinstalling WooCommerce and start again?

One solution is for me to delete woocommerce and start again.

It does help sometimes. From what I understand, this could be due to a conflict with another plugin or the theme you are using. Would you mind?running a conflict test?to rule out the conflicts?

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to?Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

I hope that helps! Let us know once you have done a conflict test!

Hi. I tried all of the above. I created a subdomain and started from scratch.

Then in doing some web searching I found a post on Elementor website.

    https://elementor.com/help/i-receive-and-error-message-when-using-the-woocommerce-block/?utm_source=woocommerce_block&utm_medium=wp-dash&utm_campaign=learn

It was exactly my problem but their solution did not work so I am putting in a support request to Elementor.

I will post back results on this post when I know more.

    Thanks for the help

    Cheers

    Hi @wooinoz

I see that you’ve found a similar problem on the Elementor website and have contacted their support team. That’s a great step as the issue might be specifically related to the Elementor plugin.

Please keep us updated on the progress with Elementor’s support. We’re here to assist you further if needed. We appreciate your efforts in troubleshooting this issue, and we hope it gets resolved soon.

    Thanks!

Whilst I was following through with Elementor I realised it was simply a human error my end. That’s what you get I guess when you are 70 – you miss the obvious.

It was the exercise for me as I was made aware of running a conflict test. Handy to know for the future, though hoping I won’t need it!

    Thanks

    Hi @wooinoz

We’re glad to hear that you were able to identify and resolve the issue on your own. Don’t worry; we all make mistakes regardless of our age, and the important thing is that you’ve learned something new in the process.

The conflict test is indeed a handy tool for troubleshooting, and we hope you won’t need to use it often either. But if you ever encounter any other issues or have any questions in the future, please don’t hesitate to create a new topic here. We’re always here to help.

Meanwhile, if it isn’t too much to ask for – would you mind leaving us a review here?

It only takes a couple of minutes but helps us tremendously. It would mean so much to us and would go a really long way.

    Thanks!
