Utterly ridiculous to have this show on pages like my home page. I just want to assign authors to posts. things like the home page are not attributed to anyone. there are no settings to refine things or way to off per page like a sensible plugin.

Gonna have to find a plugin like this that is ready for primetime.

    Hi @thompsonprint

Sorry, could you explain this more, please?

What you describe is not default behavior for the plugin. We’ve not had this problem reported before.

There may be a conflict with the theme, or perhaps some other issue.

Thanks. It looks like your homepage is a single, full Page?

You can go to Authors > Settings and uncheck “Pages” for “Add to these post types”.

Or, you can go to Authors > Settings > Display and uncheck “Show below the content”. You can choose from these other ways to show the author:

Great, I was looking for a settings page. I turned off pages and it works as I envisioned, I could not understand why a plugin would not have that option.

    thanks for the fast reply.

    Sure thing @thompsonprint.

It’s not always the easiest plugin (partly because of WordPress limitations, and partly because we have more improvements to do). But we’re always happy to help.

    Have a great weekend.
