• Plugin is useless. When activated, it displays a “Leave a Reply” form on every page. Doesn’t actually convert the site to a responsive (or mobile friendly) layout.

  • Hi Jerry,

I’m sorry you feel disappointed with our plugin. It sounds like there might be two issues going on on your site that could be quickly resolved:

    1. You have comments enabled on your pages (it’s an unfortunate old WordPress default). You can find steps to quickly and easily turn off discussion on pages here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-turn-off-or-disable-comments-in-wordpress-pages/.

    2. If you find that the mobile theme is not applied when you access the page, you may have a cache system running (either a plugin or at the server level) that needs a configuration tweak. If you share your URL, we’d be happy to take a look and see what we can recomment.

We’d love to have a chance to earn a 5-star review from you!

    Thanks,

Thanks for the quick response. My site uses lots of custom templates powered by Advanced Custom Fields. Could that be the culprit for the missing content? If so, is there another version of the plugin that would work with that type of setup? And does it have a “try before you buy” option?

That would cause content to be missing –?the mobile theme uses a completely separate set of templates, so any custom code you’ve loaded into your desktop theme won’t get loaded.

WPtouch Pro supports custom themes and child themes, which would let you add the necessary output code for your custom fields.

Having established that the problem you’ve run into is a matter of WordPress configuration, not bugs in the plugin, perhaps you might consider revising your review rating?

Yes, I’m willing to do that. Could you help me with a few things first?

    1. Update the plugin’s description or FAQs to indicate the limitations of the free plugin (or conversely the features of free and premium plugin). The intent is to help other users avoid the troubleshooting process I had to go through on my end.
    2. Send me a link to the premium version of the plugin.
    3. Please advise if the premium plugin includes a trial period.

    Thanks Martin ??

    Hi Jerry,

I’m not 100% sure what we could add to documentation to cover this situation off; it was a case of WPtouch respecting WordPress’s configuration…

You can find full details about WPtouch Pro on our website, wptouch.com. Although we are unable to offer a demo version, we do offer a 14-day refund guarantee in case the plugin is incompatible with your site.
