Shows full article in mobile version instead of excerpt

  • Hi,

    I am using the Sela theme for my website einfachleben.blog and in the desktop version it is working pretty well. On the Home page it shows only excerpts of my published articles. However, in the mobile version it displays the full articles. How can I change this?

    Sorry, I just realised that it is not working in the desktop version either even though I changed the reading settings accordingly.

    Hi @philwalt!

    If you’d like Sela to display only part of a post, you can try adding the More Tag at the point where you’d like the post to be shortened. This should be the second to last button in the top row your editor’s toolbar.

    Another option would be to use a plugin (it looks like you might be trying this approach already) or you could set up a child theme to use the_excerpt(); instead of the_content();
