Showing whole post in search results

  • When I use the search plugin it returns the whole of the post’s text. I only want it to show a limited number of words.

    Hi,

    I assume you are referring to the results page (not the live results list below the search bar). Unfortuantely the plugin can’t affect the layout of the results page, that is controlled by the theme you are currently using.

    I recommend checking the theme settings and asking the theme author about possible modificaitons to show only the excerpts.
